Oxford Exchange is one of the most beautiful places in Tampa, and it is perfect when I want to feel inspired.

Located across from the University of Tampa, Oxford Exchange brings together a restaurant, bookstore, gift shop, coffee and tea service, event space, and coworking space inside one thoughtfully designed property.

The gorgeous architecture, natural light, exposed brick, rich wood details, and black and white floors make the entire building feel special.

I would personally choose Oxford Exchange for a shorter work session, a creative planning day, a client meeting, or a coffee date rather than settling in at a busy table for several hours. It is a popular destination, and part of enjoying local businesses is being thoughtful about how much space we occupy during their busiest times.

A New Tampa Coffee Spot to Watch

Tampa's coffee scene is still growing.

Rose's Coffee & Cones has been reported as a new concept planned for East Seventh Avenue in Ybor City. The location would bring coffee and sweet treats to an area already filled with restaurants, bakeries, and Tampa history. Because plans and opening timelines can change, I would check for an official opening announcement before making a special trip.

Cafe Rialto is also being added to the historic Rialto Theatre in Tampa Heights as part of a new café and tearoom concept. When I work from a local coffee shop, I try to remember that it is still someone's business and not my private office.

I order something, avoid taking up a large table by myself, use headphones for calls, and purchase another drink or food item if I plan to stay for a while. I also try not to stay during the busiest breakfast or lunch rush.

That small bit of consideration helps local coffee shops remain welcoming places for remote workers without making it harder for them to serve other customers.
